The Infinite Possibilities in Life and Love

‘See no evil, hear no evil”……

I have been speaking quite a bit lately on the topic of ethics in dating and relationships. Frankly, it’s because I’m starting to feel like a CSOC (Committee on Standards of Official Conduct)counselor on ‘How to treat your significant other’! It can be a taskmaster! I’m literally finding myself going out of my way to make certain couples can see the smile across my face when I catch them engaged in some good ol’ PDA or playful hand-holding. That’s inspiring! Does it make up for the two that appear more like kissing cousins than Lancelot and Guinevere?…

It can be really disheartening to watch up close the married guy that approves a hotel ‘meet-n-greet’ with a strip club maitre de’ later this eve; or the chik that sports the shiny cluster of begets on her ‘I got a man’ finger throwing herself at the kid just mixing drinks to get through college. I suppose the reincarnation of free-love could be used to explain here but I’m stickin’ to the notarized copy of ‘let’s make a deal’! Ever seen the traumatic backdrafts infidelity or disloyalty creates? http://www.cheaters.com/ Guess I lost track for a moment as to the true mission of a love life! I was under the assumption that we, as human beings were supposed to respect each other and this should be reflected in our treatment of each other; makes sense, doesn’t it?  It’s tough givin’ a shit sometimes……….

Don’t get too discouraged! All the Saturday nights spent burning through your contacts list and coming up empty won’t be all for naught! You’re learning 2 very important things when this happens. 1- you need new contacts! 2-the ones you have suck!! Hey! At least for all cosmetic purposes, you actually HAVE someone’s number!  Ideally, we would all like to spend the rest of our lives with someone so fabulous that the mere thought of them brings us to tears of joy. It can very well happen for any of us and if you believe that it can be manifested through your perception then it probably will. Standards and ethics are sharing Caramel Macchiados at Starbucks price-lining Cancun summer houses,…………Get it?!
